Social Innovation Model project workshop was held
"Social Innovation Model Project Workshop" was organized in cooperation with KASTOB (Confederation of Black Sea Non-Governmental Organizations) and Üsküdar University. The workshop, which was held with the participation of academic and civil society representatives, was organized to develop innovative solutions to social problems and to produce sustainable social projects. Within the framework of the protocol, it was stated that similar studies will continue in the future and that this cooperation will make significant contributions to the field of social innovation in Türkiye.
The workshop held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus focused on the development and project design of social innovation models and aimed to provide participants with practical project development skills as well as providing theoretical knowledge.
With the participation of federation presidents and project leaders, solutions to real-life problems were proposed on an interactive platform. Important steps have been taken to implement sustainable projects, especially in areas such as family, youth, women, health and education.
The workshop was attended by KASTOB President Nevzat Duyar, Kocaeli Federation of Associations President Bahriye Gürpınar Geredeli, Kırklareli Federation of Associations President Adnan Trader, Bayburt Federation of Associations President Hasan Saka, KASTOB Secretary General and Tekirdağ Federation of Associations President Yüksel Arslan, KASTOB Deputy President and Sakarya Federation of Associations President Yaşar Saka, Gümüşhane Federation of Associations President Birol Boz, KASTOB Vice President İshak Koçoğlu, Kastamonu Federation of Associations Vice President Hikmet Şahin, Üsküdar University Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler, Üsküdar University and KASTOB young people participated.
KASTOB President Nevzat Duyar: "Social innovation also means new opportunities"
The opening speeches of the workshop were made by KASTOB President Nevzat Duyar. Pointing out that KASTOB strives to increase the power of civil society and to produce projects that will benefit all segments of society, Duyar stated that "This workshop is an indication of our commitment to producing projects that serve the community. Social innovation means not only finding solutions to problems, but also new opportunities. The achievements we have gained here will form the basis of our future projects."
KASTOB Vice President İshak Koçoğlu: "It is our primary duty to develop projects that touch the society"
Later, KASTOB Vice President İshak Koçoğlu emphasized that social innovation is critical for federations and NGOs. Koçoğlu stated that "As NGOs, it is our primary duty to develop projects that touch the society. Thanks to such workshops, we have the chance to develop projects that will increase social awareness not only in our own regions but also throughout Türkiye."
Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar drew attention to the concept of social innovation
Üsküdar University Rectorate Project Development Director Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar, who moderated the social innovation of the workshop, drew attention to the details of the concept of social innovation. Yaşar expressed that "Social innovation aims to create change in existing systems by offering sustainable and innovative solutions to social problems. In this workshop, we develop the competencies of our federations and project leaders and design projects that will leave a lasting impact on the society." Yaşar also emphasized the importance of project design in social innovation processes and presented various methods and practices to the participants in this regard.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Sami Mencet emphasized the power of the media in social projects
The publicity and media moderator of the workshop was Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Sami Mencet from Akdeniz University. Emphasizing the power of the media in social projects, Mencet stated that effective promotional strategies should be determined in order for the projects to be accepted in the society and to reach large masses. Mencet expressed that "The announcement of your projects not only at the local level, but also in the national and even international arena depends on the professional management of promotional strategies."
It was emphasized that social innovation is also important in the implementation and sustainability phases
Within the scope of the workshop, the participants focused on models that they can develop and implement by developing their project ideas.
It was aimed that each participating federation would create social innovation-oriented projects in their own field and put these projects into practice. As a result of the workshop, it was emphasized that social innovation is important not only in the project development phase, but also in the implementation and sustainability phases.
Within the framework of the protocol, it was stated that similar studies will continue in the future and that this cooperation will make significant contributions to the field of social innovation in Türkiye.
