Bangladeshi delegation visited Üsküdar University



15 academicians who came to İstanbul from Bangladesh within the scope of the Istanbul Science and Culture Foundation's Risale-i Nur reading program. They also visited Üsküdar University Founding Rector Prof. Nevzat Tarhan.

The program took place in the Senate Hall at Main Campus. Üsküdar University Vice Rector. Prof. Muhsin Konuk, Board Member of the İDER Foundation Selahattin Arslan and Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler also attended the program.



“Our heads and hearts have both changed”

Bangladeshi delegation attended a weekly reading program in Turkey Risale-i Nur and shared their emotions during the process they have read. They shared the following; “Our heads and hearts have both changed during the reading. We did not expect that we would get so much from the readings. We have seen an example of the positive faith’s service. Students who came to class from the age of 5 to 70 attracted our attention. It was the first time that we have seen the force, which did not break the inter-generational connection. We will explain what we have learned here to our environment and our students in Bangladesh. We also thank Prof. Nevzat Tarhan for accepting us.”



Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: “Risale-i Nur answers to young people”

During his speech, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan underlined that Risale-i Nur was able to convey the word of kalam to the public. He said, “Risale-i Nur gives young people the answer of why they should perform the prayer, not how. It is remarkable that Risale-i Nur uses the positive action method and jihad morally. Risale-i Nur answers to young people.”


Information about the opportunities of Üsküdar University
 
In the continuation of the program, the Bangladeshi delegation was informed about the faculties, departments, physical conditions, education curriculum and NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital studies offered at Üsküdar University.

After the meeting, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan presented the book “Tarhan Family Tree” prepared by Prof. Ahmet Akgündüz, which was published by Üsküdar Publications.

The visit ended after a family photo shoot.
