Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: “Teacher is the main pillar of education”

Üsküdar University Science and Idea Festival, which encourages high school students to observe and "invent" to strengthen the project culture and entrepreneurship practice and to facilitate life, through the slogan "This Invention Holds A Lot", organized in collaboration with Üsküdar University and Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education will be held for the 7^th time. 



Şırnak Ortasu Secondary School students were the guests of the festival's publicity meeting. In the book entitled “Our 21^st Century Science Idols” written by the students with the support of their teachers Ramazan Teker, Üsküdar University Founding Rector Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Vice Rector of Üsküdar University Prof. Sevil Atasoy and Advisor to the Rector Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan were chosen as “science idols” by the students.



Prof. Nevzat Tarhan emphasized the importance of the influence of the teacher on his student. He said, “The teacher is the main pillar of education. If the teacher believes in the importance of scientific work and scientific thinking, he believes in students as well.
