Republic of Kenya's delegation met with President Prof. Tarhan



Ankara Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya Jhonson Ondieki and his delegation paid a visit to Üsküdar University.



“You are an important scientific university”

The delegation paid a visit to thank Üsküdar University for accepting 13 students from the Mandera region of Kenya. Ondieki said; “Throughout Kenya, we have always cared and supported education in the Mandera State. You are an important scientific university. We always appreciate your initiatives. The 13 students coming here will represent not only Mandera Province, but Kenya. They will play an important role in strengthening the ties between Turkey and also in Kenya. We look forward to your support in this regard.”



“Our students are ready to host”

Üsküdar University Founding President Prof. Nevzat expressed his satisfaction with the visit and said, “Your students are consigned to us. We will do our best to train them well. As Üsküdar University, we do not want your students to feel foreign. Our students are also ready to host them. We are not just focused on academic achievement. At the same time, we provide education focused on raising good individuals. We want your 13 students to carry their memories from here with them throughout their lives. It is a great chance for your students that you are following them here.

Üsküdar University Founding President Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Vice President Prof. Muhsin Konuk, General Secretary Selçuk Uysaler, International Relations Director Emre Üçsular, Mandera Governor of the Republic of Kenya Ali İbrahim Roba, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Ankara Johnson Ondieki, Mandera Education Sports and Culture Officer Izzudin Abdullahi Abdi, Mandera Finance Officer Alinoor Mohamed and Mandera Business Development Officer Yusuf Dido also attended the meeting held at Main Campus Senate Hall.



After the meeting, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan presented “Tarhan Family Tree” that has been prepared by Prof. Ahmet Akgündüz and published by Üsküdar Publications as a present.

The meeting ended after a souvenir photo was taken.
