Özcan KÖKNEL 1928 - ...

Özcan Köknel is a Turkish psychiatrist, author and lecturer. After graduating from İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1952, he completed his psychiatry specialty education at the same faculty and became a faculty member. He worked in Rome for a while. He retired in 1995.
For a long time, he served as the head of the Department of Psychiatry at İstanbul Faculty of Medicine. He became known for his popular psychiatric books for the public.
