Martin SELIGMAN

American Psychologist and Researcher. He was the President of APA in 1998. In addition to having created the concept of “Learned Helplessness”, he is the author of many positive psychology books. After devoting a significant part of his career to understanding the concept of learned helplessness, he turned the direction of his research to “Learned Optimism”. He initiated the Positive Psychology movement and disseminated it across the world. Seligman called “Positive Psychology” the part that enables us to understand phenomena such as productivity, success and happiness in life.
