Who is al-Biruni?
Al-Biruni is a scientist famous for his work in the fields of astronomy, mathematics, natural sciences, geography and history. He lost his father at a young age, then was protected by the Khwarizmshahs and studied mathematics and astronomy at the palace.

Ibn Iraq and Abdussamed bin Hakim were among the important teachers Biruni received education from. He wrote his first book when he was only 17 years old and went to Iran and lived there for a while after the Khwarizmshah State was taken by the Me'mûnîler. Later, it was protected by the Ziyaris and he wrote his work "El Asar'ul Bakiye" in the palace of the Ziyarid dynasty.
