B.Frederic SKINNER 20 March 1904 – 18 August 1990
American psychologist, social reform advocate, inventor and writer.
He is one of the most important psychologists in recent years, demonstrating the importance of operant conditioning in learning with his experiment known as “Skinner's box”. According to Skinner, people acquire language as a result of behavioral conditions. Contrary to other language acquisition theories, Skinner believes that the ability to speak does not exist naturally, and likens language acquisition to a building. It replaces the language learning mechanism with the ability to actually grasp the language.
