Antonio Damasio is one of the most important scientists in modern neuroscience. Born in 1944 in Portugal. Damasio was transferred to the University of Southern California in 2005 after serving in the Iowa University Hospital for many years. The scientist, originally a medical doctor, has worked in the field of neurology for nearly 30 years. His research interests are neurobiology of the mind in general and emotions in particular. He has published numerous articles and awards on emotions and the brain.
