A.Süheyl ÜNVER 1898 – 1986

After graduating from Dar ul-Funun Medical School in 1920, he completed his specialties in internal medicine at Paris Faculty of Medicine. In 1930, he started to work as a pharmacodynamics assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Treatment Clinic. He worked in Gureba and Haseki hospitals and worked as an assistant in the Industrial School. He founded the Institute of Medical History at Istanbul University and taught at the Academy of Fine Arts. He became a professor in 1938 and an ordinary professor in 1954. In 1967, he founded the Chair of History of Medicine and Deontology at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty.
