Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan; “Life gives its reward to those who do not give up, to those who tolerate it.”

Founding Rector of Uskudar University, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, was a guest of the online interview organized by The Neurosciences program of Ondokuz Mayis University Master and Doctorate programs. Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, who gave assessments on the topic of 'Leading Brains of the Future' in the online program, stated that success cannot be achieved without struggle in the face of difficulties and hindrances in life. Tarhan said; "The ways of success in life are not always such flowering paths. The ways of success are stony, muddy roads. If you are indolent, you are lazy, you change the way when there are obstacles. What happens when you change the road in every obstacle? You miss the train. There is such a secret psychology law in life. Life gives those who do not give up the prize of life against difficulties. If we are so we progress in life. Or otherwise, we only are someone who repeats the routine."

“Leadership in mother and fatherhood is not to make the child happy, but to prepare the child for life”

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, who talks about the effect of leadership in parenting on the child; "The most important feature of leadership is problem-solving, stress management, self-management. So someone who can't be a leader of his own in leadership can't be a team leader. Let's say that. That's why we're going to start leading ourselves. For example, if a mother becomes a leader at home, she can only have a say over her children and enforce the rules there. But if she loses the leadership to the child, which is very common today, leadership happens in the little ruler of the house. Especially boys in the Black Sea Region. All of his wills are done, everything is allowed for him. After that, when the child reaches puberty, he begins to run, use substances, defy. In fact, you spoiled him. That's not leadership! Leadership in mother and fatherhood is not to make the child happy, but to prepare the child for life... That's leadership."
