Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: “ ‘The Z Generation’ Will Save Our Future”

Founding President of Uskudar University Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan was a guest of the program organized by the Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education. Tarhan made assessments under the heading "New Truths in Education and the 21^st Century Skills". Noting that the "Z" generation is a questioning generation; The generation "Z" is the generation that will save our future. I'm not that pessimistic about the "Z" generation. I work in the college; I observe young people. There are now questioning young people. There aren’t children of the culture of obedience by saying 'Well Sir!' " anymore, he said.

Tarhan mentioning that the new generation questioned everything told; “After the 2000s, there was a serious digital transformation. Power, money, dominance fall into the hands of the one who captures this transformation. But there's a feature about this transformation. With this transformation, super-jobs can be done when super young people come together with high computer technology and supercomputer technology. We've got super young people now. Some exclude, despise the "Z" generation. The "Z" generation will save our future. I'm not that pessimistic about the "Z" generation. I work in the college; I observe young people. There are now questioning young people. There aren’t children of the culture of obedience by saying 'Well Sir!' " anymore. These are young people who questioning everything, ask for accountability, think freely. There's an audience that says the government knows everything and doesn't question it, but this generation doesn't, it's questioning.”
