Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics students organized a technical trip to FLO Group
Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS) Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program organized a trip to Flo Group. During the trip, Central Recruitment Specialist Kübranur Eker made a presentation about the technological infrastructure of the company. Moreover, Model Shop Manager Özcan Kocabaş gave information about shoe manufacturing.
A trip was organized to Flo Group by Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS) Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program.
Kübranur Eker: "We have large living spaces in FLO Merchandising"
Central Recruitment Specialist Kübranur Eker, who made her presentation during the trip, gave information about the internship program and collaborations. Eker stated that "We have large living spaces in FLO Merchandising. Our laboratories, model house and factories are some of these living spaces. Physical internship at FLO headquarters, which is a program created according to the compulsory internship period, provides the opportunity to work in the department you aim for a career. Physical internship in FLO stores, our program for Vocational School students within the scope of the project carried out jointly with the İstanbul Hazır Giyim ve Konfeksiyon İhracatçıları Birliği İHKİB (Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters' Association). The FLO online internship program is a 20-day program and includes personal and professional development training. FLO Academy includes schools such as shoe school, leadership school, retail school, technology school. In our collaborations with universities, there are interviews with leaders, career day events, interview simulation, company trips, and trainings organized by the FLO Training unit."
Özcan Kocabaş talked about the manufacture of shoes...
Model Shop Manager Özcan Kocabaş talked about the manufacturing process of the shoe. Kocabaş stated that "For the manufacture of the planned shoe, the mold parts of the shoe are prepared and created. The parts formed in the slaughterhouse are cut. The cut parts are designed with appropriate joining methods and a preliminary prototype is obtained. The product is then displayed, and an order is placed with the manufacturer when the order is received. That is how it works..."
During the technical trip, the students had the opportunity to gain information by visiting the cutting department, sewing and assembly department where all stages took place.
The trip ended after a group photo shoot.
