Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine faculty member and psychiatrist Prof. Kemal Arıkan, who has many years of experience in the field of Clinical Neuroscience, has been elected as the president of the EEG and Clinical Neuroscience Society (ECNS). At ECNS, in which Üsküdar University also cooperates, Prof. Arıkan expressed that in his new position, he will work to ensure that neurophysiological methods are adopted by wider masses in clinical applications and to develop scientific collaborations.

The goal is to spread scientific sharing to a wider audience

Prof. Kemal Arıkan, who has been an active member of ECNS since its establishment, summarized the new goals of the association with his role as president. Arıkan stated that "It is among our most important goals to disseminate scientific sharing to a wider audience by increasing the number of ECNS members and to encourage the effective use of neurophysiological methods such as electroencephalography in clinical applications...".

Accumulated knowledge and experience will be shared through the magazine

Prof. Arıkan stated that as ECNS, their primary goal is to ensure that neurophysiological techniques are used more widely in the field of psychiatry and psychology, and that the accumulated knowledge in this field will be shared through the journal Clinical EEG and Neuroscience.

The aim is to create a stronger community with the contributions of new members

Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine faculty member Prof. Kemal Arıkan talked about the mission and vision goals. Aiming to increase international cooperation and expand knowledge in the field of neurophysiology with ECNS membership, Prof. Arıkan stated that they aim to create a stronger community with the contributions of new members. Drawing attention to the importance of techniques such as EEG, ERP and sleep EEG in clinical applications, Prof. Arıkan stated that he believes that the integration of these techniques into clinical applications will contribute to psychiatry and psychological sciences.

Prof. Kemal Arıkan invited all neuroscience experts who want to contribute to the new vision of ECNS and share scientific information to join the ECNS family.

Prof. Kemal Arıkan has built a solid foundation for his academic career with the trainings he received from prestigious institutions such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Albert Einstein Medical College, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital. He currently runs the Kemal Arıkan Psychiatry Clinic in İstanbul and continues to contribute to the field through neurophysiological research and education.
