Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Software Engineering Department Head Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, who successfully served as the Rector's advisor, was appointed as the Vice Rector. Prof. Ergüzel, who has been carrying out successful studies under the roof of Üsküdar University since the day it was founded, will also be responsible for R&D, internationalization, corporate scientific performance development and strategy development processes.

Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Software Engineering Department Head Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel has served in many important positions and carried out successful studies since the establishment of Üsküdar University. Prof. Türker is also the Director of Üsküdar University Graduate School of Health Sciences Moreover, Prof. Türker, who was also the Advisor to the Rector, has now been appointed as the Vice Rector.

Prof. Ergüzel, who also serves as the Director of the Graduate School of Health Sciences, will also be responsible for R&D, internationalization, corporate scientific performance development and strategy development processes.

Who is Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel?

Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel was born in Sakarya in 1978. He completed his undergraduate, master's and doctorate studies in respectively 2000, 2003 and 2009 at Marmara University, Department of Electronics-Computer Education, Computer-Control Education program. He did his master's thesis on "Web-Based Training of Data Structures". Ergüzel, who completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees with first place, completed his doctorate on "Process Control with Genetic-Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm (ACO)". He has many international publications and referees on system modeling, controller design for real-time systems, artificial intelligence methods and EEG signal processing. Prof. Ergüzel, who speaks English, focused on real-time robot arm control with EEG signals in his graduate theses.

Prof. Ergüzel has been working as a faculty member at Üsküdar University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences since 2012. Specializing in system modeling, neuroimaging, deep learning, fuzzy logic and optimization under the title of artificial intelligence, Prof. Ergüzel's studies in this field are neuroscience-oriented big data analysis, as well as developing diagnostic and prognostic models using neuroimaging data with deep learning algorithms. Prof. Ergüzel is the father of two children, Ayşe Nil and Kerim Mete.
