Prof. Ella Bistritska: "It is not possible to live in this world without learning Islam"

Head of the Department of History at Ternopil University Prof. Ella Bistritska emphasized that the program is very important internationally. Bistritska stated that "The Islamic Theology and Culture Program is a very important program in the international sense. Now everyone wants to learn about Islam. We started this with the Islamic Theology and Program. The aim of the Islamic Theology and Culture program is to learn the religion of Islam. Because there is Islam everywhere, and we have brothers and sisters everywhere. It is not possible to live in this world without learning about Islam. We need to learn about the views of Islam. We see firsthand that Islam is a peaceful religion. We see this when we academics come to these conferences; however, we wanted our students to come as well. Because our students are our future. We are doing this program so that they understand the good morals of Islam."

Selahattin Arslan: "Islam is a religion of peace, love and compassion"

Vice President of the Risale-i Nur Research Platform (RİNAP) Selahattin Arslan stated that Ternopil University is one of the first universities to sign the Manifesto for Universal Human Values and Rights. With the seminars we will hold here, you will see that Islam is definitely not a radical religion. Islam is a religion of peace, love and compassion. As Ukrainian society and Turkish society, we have very common values. We are especially saddened by this ongoing war in Ukraine. We very much want it to stop as soon as possible and to prevent people from being killed unjustly. We had prepared a manifesto for the massacre in Palestine. We have opened the manifesto for signature to stop this unjust occupation. We invited other universities. Ternopil University is one of the first universities to sign this. At the moment, the number of signatures has exceeded 400 thousand. In this manifesto, we have specifically emphasized the human rights that all people must abide by. We want to take this manifesto, together with the signatures collected by the end of the year, to the United Nations and ensure that a decision is taken there."

Üsküdar University Head of English Translation and Interpreting Department Asst. Prof. Nafi Yalçın touched upon common cultural characteristics. Although our languages are different now, the sounds that make up this language are the same. We have a lot in common, we have good values. We understand and share our common values better with this program. There is a beautiful saying in our language; ‘Good things increase as they are shared, troubles and problems decrease as they are shared.' We want to increase the beauty by sharing these beautiful ideas, experiences and values."

Sadık Paksoy: "We will share our culture and faith values with you"

Sadık Paksoy, Vice President of the Risale-i Nur Research Platform (RİNAP) expressed that "Welcome to our university. During our stay here, we will share our culture and faith values with you.
