An award to Prof. Nevzat Tarhan from Anatolian businessmen!

‘Anadolu Birleştirici Sanayici ve İş adamları Derneği (ASİAD) presented the "Outstanding Achievement and Honor Award in the Field of Social Consciousness and Psychiatry" to President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan.

Drawing attention to autism awareness, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan pointed out that autism has an unavoidable rise in the world. Tarhan stated that "New methods have been developed in the diagnosis of autism. It turns out that some genes do not work well in their brains, and there are serious studies on those gene therapies. As a university, we have started important studies on this subject in Türkiye."

President of Üsküdar University and Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan was presented with the "Outstanding Achievement and Honor Award in the Field of Social Consciousness and Psychiatry" at the award night organized by the Anadolu Birleştirici Sanayici ve İş adamları Derneği (ASİAD), which brought together the leading names of the business world and supported autism awareness.

At the night which was held at İstanbul Çavuşbaşı Kasrı Beykoz and where important names from the protocol came together, Tarhan was given his award by Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Türkiye Ahmet Selim Köroğlu.

Outstanding Achievement and Honor Award in the Field of Social Consciousness and Psychiatry to Prof. Nevzat Tarhan

President of Üsküdar University and Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan left his mark on the night with the "Exemplary to Society and the Most Useful Academician for Their Homeland" award, and Tarhan drew attention to autism awareness in his speech. Prof. Tarhan made the following remarks:

There is an unstoppable rise of autism in the world...

Expressing his gratitude for the award presentation, Tarhan stated that "It is very valuable to give importance to autism awareness. Currently, there is an unstoppable rise of autism in the world. It is known as neurodevelopmental disorder. New methods have been developed in the diagnosis of autism. It turns out that some genes do not work well in their brains, and there are serious studies on those gene therapies. As a university, we have started important studies on this subject in Türkiye as neurogenetic studies."

There is learned autism...

Stating that they have great hopes in the treatments related to the increase in autism, Prof. Tarhan expressed that "Maybe in the next ten years, important developments will occur in the treatments related to the increase in autism, and we are waiting for great news. We are hopeful. In autism, we also see this: there is learned autism. Apart from congenital genetic autism, some people who are exposed to computers and social media have very serious autistic symptoms, which we call atypical autism. They are very smart, and they have islands of genius in their brains; however, they are incapable of social contact. They are not able to achieve social relationships. Cases of this type of autism are increasing. This is a problem of the world, and in this case, studies on awareness are very valuable."

ASİAD President Yücel Yalçınkaya drew attention to autism awareness

ASİAD President Yücel Yalçınkaya made statements about this special night, which was held with the participation of representatives of foreign states from the world of business, art, sports and politics. Yalçınkaya emphasized that the night not only celebrates achievements, but also draws attention to autism awareness.

ASİAD Business World Awards, which have become traditional, were held with great enthusiasm and excitement this year, as well.
