5th National Occupational Health and Safety Student Congress was held

During the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) week, "5th National Occupational Health and Safety Student Congress" was held. The congress, which was hosted by İstanbul Medeniyet University with the support of Üsküdar University, was also supported by Niğde Ömer Halisdemir, Batman, Health Sciences and Kırşehir Ahi Evran Universities, MESKA Foundation, MOFWEB, MEL Elektronik and STEMBIO. The main theme of "Engineering Approaches in Risk Management and Occupational Safety" was attended by the Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department, Asst. Prof. Rüştü Uçan and academicians from the department.

The congress, which was organized in cooperation with more than one university, was attended by TÜBİTAK TEYDEB Vice President Dr. Hasan Selçuk Selek, Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences Head of Occupational Health and Safety Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Rüştü Uçan, Assoc. Prof. Müge Ensari Özay, Asst. Prof. Hacer Kayhan, Vocational School of Health Services Head of Occupational Health and Safety Program Asst. Prof. Gamze Kağan and Graduate School of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Health and Safety Instructor Mustafa Cüneyt Gezen participated.

The 5th National Occupational Health and Safety Student Congress, in which OHS experts participated as speakers, led the monitoring of innovative engineering approaches to occupational health and safety practices.

At the congress, the problems experienced in OHS, which is a multidisciplinary field, and solution proposals were mentioned. In this context, new perspectives brought to the field were discussed.

Asst. Prof. Rüştü Uçan: "Together with young people, we are creating the future of OHS"

Üsküdar University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Head of Occupational Health and Safety Department, Asst. Prof. Rüştü Uçan pointed out that occupational safety includes technical issues and the problem of not defining associate professorship in occupational safety. Uçan stated that they are trying to create the future of occupational health and safety together with young people.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Fire Field and OHS Statement was presented

Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences Occupational Health and Safety 4th year student Fatma Nisa Gürüz participated in the congress with a paper titled "Use of Artificial Intelligence and OHS in the Fire Area". Gürüz, who presented her paper, was given a certificate of participation.

The 6th congress will be held at Gümüşhane University next year

It was announced to the participants that the 6th Occupational Health and Safety Student Congress, organized with different themes, will be held at Gümüşhane University next year.
