Before the pre-screening planned for only 5th grade students in the pilot application schools, the informed voluntary consent of the parents and students was obtained and the necessary information was provided regarding the screening. Then, preparations were made for pre-screening and the necessary materials were provided.
The students diagnosed in the pre-screening will be followed...
In the first stage of the study, the preliminary screening of secondary school 5th grade students will be provided to detect posture and gait abnormalities that the family and the child have not yet noticed, which are settled over time and are likely to cause further discomfort.
Possible cases detected will be directed to the relevant health institution. The fact that the continuity of the detection and follow-up process in schools will be ensured with teacher reliability stands out as an important gain. In teacher follow-up and family collaboration, the process can be observed until the student graduates. Moreover, after the preliminary screening, some students are directed to the Gait Analysis Laboratory of Istanbul University Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology and detailed evaluation is planned.

In the second phase of the study, it is planned to give "Corrective and Protective Exercises" training to physical education and sports teachers who receive pre-screening training. All students in the class where possible postural abnormalities are detected, including students with possible postural disorders, should have some functional exercises performed by physical education and sports teachers in a certain range and intensity by taking expert opinion and explaining the functional home exercises deemed appropriate to the family through parent interviews are among the objectives of the study.
