The brothers from Üsküdar offer students the opportunity to practice in surgery with their project…
Emre Kaan Şanverdi, a 3rd year student of Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Computer Engineering, and Mustafa Şanverdi, a 6th year student of Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, were accepted to the WISH 2024 (World Innovation Summit for Health) organization held in Qatar with the 'Surgical Practical Domestic Software Project with VR Glasses' they developed with the support of TÜBİTAK. This project enriches the educational processes of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry students by offering virtual cadaver anatomy and surgical simulations using VR-AR-XR glasses technologies.

The closest experience to reality with simulations and VR glasses...
This project offers unique opportunities for doctors in surgical planning and medical education, using digital twins to import patient data and visualize, organize, and discuss it in collaborative spaces.
The project, which offers the opportunity to experience critical surgeries in the closest way to reality with VR glasses with simulations of complex surgical cases, draws attention with this aspect.
With this technology, students and healthcare professionals have the opportunity to improve their anatomy and surgical skills in high-reality virtual environments.
The Şanverdi brothers, who carried out their first experiments with sheep hearts and brains, are currently working on human surgeries.
