The finalists of the 31st International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival have been announced. Among the five short films that made it to the finals in the National Student Short Film Competition - Short Experimental Film category, there were short films by, a senior student İbrahim Karahasan and a 2nd year student Ayşenur Ateş at Üsküdar University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. The winner will be determined after the final evaluation to be held in Adana between September 23-29, 2024, by the Selection Committee.

The films selected from among 201 applications were determined as finalists as a result of the evaluation made by the pre-jury of Arzu Görgülü, Özgür İpek and Seher Şeylan.

The finalists of the National Student Short Film Competition-Short Experimental Film category, which will be presented to the jury at the festival this year and will give film lovers the excitement of the Golden Boll Competition, are Ayşenur Ateş with "Taş" and "Meçhul" (Unknown) from Üsküdar Communications İbrahim Karahasan took part.

Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication Radio, Television and Cinema senior student İbrahim Karahasan's film "Meçhul" was one of the five short films that made it to the finals. The shooting of Meçhul, which is an experimental short film, took place in Uludağ on January 14-15, 2024. The short film, which is İbrahim Karahasan's graduation project, is also the first short film written and directed by Karahasan.

Prior to the Golden Boll Award, “Meçhul” also received the Best International Short Film Jury Special Award, the Best Experimental Short Film Jury Special Award and the Best Silent Short Film award at the Golden Lion International Film Festival (GLIFF) held in India.

Radio, Television and Cinema 2nd year student Ayşenur Ateş's film "Taş" (Stone) was one of the five short films that made it to the finals. The short film "Taş", which is an experimental short film, was the first short film shot by Ayşenur Ateş as a writer and director.

The shooting of the short film, which talks about Ahmet's life between work and home by following electronic devices, was shot in Istanbul. The short film then deals with Ahmet's encounter with the meaning of the stone in his dream when he gets lost in a neighborhood while moving with navigation.
