The 10th Brain Mapping Day will be held in the USA with the contributions by Üsküdar University
Üsküdar University’s studies on brain mapping were included in the promotional video prepared for the Brain Mapping Day event to be held in the US Congress, and the cooperation with the SBMT was emphasized.
The Brain Mapping Day, which will be held for the 10th time this year in the US Congress, will be held on October 19, 2023 at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC. The event, which is also supported by Üsküdar University and NPİSTANBUL Hospital, will introduce the latest developments in the field of brain mapping, and the event will also be an important platform to talk about and discuss studies in the field of brain mapping.

In the promotional video in which joint studies carried out by the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT), which carries out activities in the field of brain studies in the USA, and Üsküdar University were highly praised, it was underlined that President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan was invited to meet with the representative of brain initiative on May 19 2015, and emphasis was placed on his cooperation with the SBMT by representing Türkiye.

The video included the studies by Üsküdar University that represented Türkiye in the Brain Initiative Project launced by former US President Barack Obama in 2013 with the aim to develop treatments and research hidden secrets of the brain and critical diseases such as Autism, Schizophrenia, Parkinson, Alzheimer’s.
Moreover, the promotional video included that Üsküdar University attended the Pre-G20 Middle East Brain Mapping Initiative summit held in Dubai between June 11-12, 2015.

While Üsküdar University was chosen as the project partner from Türkiye for the Brain Initiative Project that was launched as the most outstanding project after the Human Genome Project of the USA in 2015, President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT), which carries out activities in the field of brain research in the USA.
