World leading figures of neuroimaging meet at Üsküdar
Üsküdar University hosts” the 6th Basic Clinical and Multimodal Imaging (BaCl) Congress” between 03-07 September 2023 at Üsküdar University NP Health Campus. 60 international researchers from 12 different countries discuss the latest developments in the fields of neuroscience, genetics and medicine. Within the scope of the program, Prof. Monte Buchsbaum, who is considered the pioneer of neuroimaging technologies, will also be presented with an honorary doctorate.
Preparations are ongoing for the 6th Basic Clinical and Multimodal Imaging (BaCl) Congress to be held at Üsküdar University NP Health Campus between 03-07 September. The congress brings together pioneering clinicians, researchers and scientists who use neuroelectrophysiological techniques to understand human psychology. Üsküdar University has been participating in the current research in the diagnosis and treatment processes for psychiatric diseases with its researches in the field of neuroscience and genetics along with 60 international researchers from 12 different countries. The University will host the 6th BaCI (Basic Clinical and Multimodal Imaging) Congress.
The congress, which will be co-chaired by President of Üsküdar University, Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan and will be held face-to-face after 32 years, attracts great interest from young researchers in our country as well as international researchers. The Congress, which was also deemed worthy of support within the scope of TÜBİTAK Multi-Participation International Event Support Program 2223-C, brings together the most prestigious associations in the field. The congress, which is held every two years, will be the 18th meeting organized by ECNS, ISNIP, ISBET, ISFSI and Üsküdar University Therapeutic Brain Mapping, Biological Psychiatry and Neurotechnology Association.
An honorary doctorate will be presented to the pioneer of neuroimaging technologies...
Just before the congress program, Prof. Monte Buchsbaum, who is considered the pioneer of neuroimaging technologies, will be presented with an honorary doctorate. In his opening remarks, Prof. Monte Buschbaum will present his views on "Progress in Electrophysiology in Our Century: Science, Biomedical Technology and Globalization". At the event, the latest developments in the fields of neuroscience, genetics and medicine will be discussed. One of the speakers on the first day of the congress, Prof. Derek Fisher will make presentations on schizophrenia, and Dr. Maheen Adamson will make presentations on gender differences in brain injury. Prof. Pinhans Dannon will make presentations on new treatments in addiction.Prof. Dr. Martin Arns will discuss the depression-heart relationship, Prof. Oliver Pogarell will discuss neurofeedback in psychiatry. Prof. Mahmood Hassan will establish the EEG-machine learning connection.
Many awards will find their winners...
In the congress, where young neuroscience researchers will also participate with verbal and poster presentations, the best poster awards, young researcher award, presidential service award, Roy John award and Turan İtil awards will be presented. BaCI supports young researchers who have reached the doctoral level, faculty members and important researchers in our country and the world with their studies that have a widespread impact on the field to follow their work and to participate in sessions where current professional issues are discussed, and ensures the development of young researchers and the establishment of possible collaborations. The Congress, theme of which is 'Meeting Point of Neuroelectrophysiology and Genetics' for 2023, will bring together international experts and interested parties in the fields of neuroelectrophysiology and genetics. Enabling dynamic discussions, knowledge sharing and advanced exchange of ideas, this event aims to bridge the gap between theoretical advances and practical applications.
