Üsküdar District Governor visited Üsküdar University Rector

Üsküdar District Governor Adam Yazıcı visited Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör to meet and celebrate her new duty. At the meeting, it was emphasized that Üsküdar University and Üsküdar District Governorship should cooperate in projects that will contribute to the development of the district. Güngör and Yazıcı agreed that medium and long-term studies should be carried out to make Üsküdar a more comfortable and livable environment in terms of education.

Opinions were exchanged to develop solutions to the dormitory problem

Üsküdar District Governor Adam Yazıcı visited Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör to meet and celebrate her new duty. Güngör and Yazıcı talked about potential projects that will contribute to the development of the district of Üsküdar University, which has campuses in many points of the district. Prof. Nazife Güngör, the new rector of Üsküdar University which has been bringing its campuses to education life at different points of Üsküdar since 2011 and taking its name from the district, stated that they have increased the youth potential of Üsküdar with approximately 24,000 students and said that "To take part in joint social responsibility projects with the university administration and our brilliant students, to contribute to the development of the district, especially in scientific, cultural and social activities, we care a lot about acting together with the district governorship. By embracing our district, we instill this approach in every student who enrolls in the university.". Güngör and Yazıcı also evaluated the general situation regarding the student dormitories in Üsküdar and exchanged views on the development of solution proposals for the dormitory problem of Üsküdar University students together with the district governorship.

Cooperation will be made in medium and long-term studies

At the meeting, the issue of priority utilization of Üsküdar university students from the public social facilities in the district was also raised and information was shared about the work being done by the district governorship. Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör and Üsküdar District Governor Adam Yazıcı emphasized that they agreed on the necessity of cooperation in medium and long-term studies in order for Üsküdar to become a more comfortable and livable environment in terms of education. Commenting on the visit, Prof. Nazife Güngör said, "I would like to thank Üsküdar District Governor Mr. Adam Yazıcı for his kind visit. We had a very productive meeting for both our university and our district. I believe that the issues that come to the agenda will make our district a center of attraction in terms of education. We are especially excited to receive support from our governor on what can be done for the welfare of our students.".
