Senate Members toured the laboratories in the NP Health Campus
While the candidates are experiencing the exigent of university preferences with the announcement of the results of YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam), Üsküdar University completed the orientation programs organized for the candidates. Üsküdar University, which opened its doors to candidates within the scope of the Preference and Promotion Days to be held between July 20 and August 8, is on the field with the members of the senate and academics. Among them, President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör and accompanying members of the senate toured the NP Health Campus and laboratories.
Üsküdar academicians, who held their weekly routine senate meeting at the NP Health Campus this week, toured the laboratories within the scope of preference and promotion days.
President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör and accompanying senate members and academicians from different departments toured the entire health campus.
The delegation visited Perfusion, Midwifery, Principles of Nutrition, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Audiology, Speech-Language Therapy, Anatomy, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation laboratories and Audiology rehabilitation unit.
A realistic birth recreated in Midwifery Lab
Department of Midwifery Mother-Newborn Labor Simulator stood out on the trip. Faculty of Health Sciences Head of the Department of Midwifery Prof. Güler Cimete gave information about the midwifery laboratory and its operation. Within the scope of the Scientific Research Project (BAP) which is the latest technology and new educational application, a birth simulation closest to reality was performed with the Mother-Newborn Labor Simulator in the Midwifery Laboratory.
After the birth was recreated with a simulation model, President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan underlined that this technique is a first in universities and that it has been done in such a comprehensive way at Üsküdar University.
