Üsküdar hosted Türkiye's first Unreal Engine Summit!

Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication hosted Türkiye’s first Unreal Engine Summit. At the summit, the game industry, the CGI film industry and many 3D design program users gathered together. The summit, which offered the opportunity to come together with those working in the game and CGI film sector and create elbow contact with the sector as part of networking and experience sharing, was held at the Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall in the South Campus.

Unreal Engine and Game Sector sessions were moderated by Indie-Game Developer Technical Artist Mustafa Mahir Atar. Roko Game Studios Founder- Lead Developer Mehmet Kurtoğlu, Roko Game Studios Real Time VFX Artist- Lead Level Designer Uğur Özer and Funverse Games Project Manager Ersoy Balkış participated in the session as speakers.

Everything has to be within a concept...

Roko Game Studios Founder- Lead Developer Mehmet Kurtoğlu mentioned that the field is open to self-improvement and said that "Software was actually an excitement and my hobby in my life. Our field is very open to self-improvement, and you are constantly improving yourself. It has flexibility in every field. We have to work hard. We have a marathon to catch up on.".

Roko Game Studios Real Time VFX Artist- Lead Level Designer Uğur Özer drew attention to the fact that it was something gained at the end of a difficult process and stated that "It is a tough process, but at the end, you win. Everything needs to be a whole, within a concept. This is the most important detail.".

Funverse Games Project Manager Ersoy Balkış informed the students and answered the questions.

The session on Unreal Engine and CGI Film Sector was moderated by Head of Üsküdar University Department of Cartoon and Animation Assoc. Prof. İpek Fatma Ertan. Pancake Studio Virtual Production & Creative Studio Founder Tayfun Çetindağ, Roko Games Studios Engine Lead Developer Ahmet İsmail Ali and Dreamlife Film TV Studios Producer & Director Mehmet Çetin participated in the session as speakers. Dreamlife Film TV Studios Producer & Director Mehmet Çetin said that "If you try to sell your quality cheap, you will downsize the sector with your own hands. It is expensive business; therefore, the people who are going to do it are going to put a certain amount of money in.".

Pancake Studio Virtual Production & Creative Studio Founder Tayfun Çetindağ, Roko Games Studios Engine Lead Developer Ahmet İsmail Ali informed the students.

Unreal Engine and The Third Party Software session was moderated by 3D Madmax Founder İsmail Akar. Content Director/ 3D Generalist Ezra Tuba and Penta Technology Executive Technical Sale Niyazi Yıldırım attended the session. Penta Technology Executive Technical Sale Niyazi Yıldırım said that "Whoever prepares the game closest to reality, does the design, the animation is the number one in our sector."

After answering the questions of the participants, the sessions ended with a group photo shoot.
