Asst. Prof. Tuğba Erkoç completed her undergraduate education at Anadolu University, Department of Chemical Engineering in 2011 by receiving honors and high honor certificates in many semesters. In her undergraduate thesis, she investigated the production of biodiesel from canola oil. As her undergraduate graduation project, she realized the design of the sorbitol factory. She completed her Master’s Degree in Process and Reactor Design at Istanbul University, Department of Chemical Engineering in 2015. In her graduate education, she examined the mechanic properties of phosphate-bound dental molding materials. In June 2023, she completed her doctoral studies at İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Chemical Engineering Department Process and Reactor Design program. Between 2017 and 2021, she participated in the CoHE 100/2000 Doctoral Scholarship Project in the priority area of "Nanobiotechnological Guided Drugs". In her doctoral thesis, she examined the use of hydrogels and cellulose-based polymers in targeted drug delivery systems in nanobiotechnology. During her doctoral studies, she has 4 SCI-Expanded articles published in international refereed journals, three of which are non-thesis. Moreover, there is a national patent application related to the thesis work. She has a total of 7 papers, including 2 verbal abstract presentations presented in international scientific meetings and included in refereed congress/symposium proceedings books. She has scientific referee experience in the journal scanned within the scope of SCI-Expanded. Dr. Tuğba Erkoç's main areas of interest are targeted drug delivery, nanocomposite hydrogels, matrix tablet systems, nanobiotechnology, polymer technology and polymer characterization.
