Prof. Ömer Yoldaş was born on April 14, 1977. He started his primary education at Ceyhan Atatürk Primary School and graduated from Adana Anatolian High School in 1994. He completed his medical education at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He received his specialty education between 2001-2006 at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital 5th General Surgery Clinic. He worked as a general surgery specialist in the same clinic since January 2006 and then worked at Ordu State Hospital and Ordu Medicalpark Hospital between 2007-2013. Since October 2013, he has worked as an Assistant Professor at İzmir University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery and received the title of Associate Professor on March 2, 2016.
Prof. Ömer Yoldaş's areas of expertise include bariatric surgery, metabolic surgery, laparoscopic reflux surgery, laparoscopic oncological surgery, colon and rectal cancers, laparoscopic hernia, perianal region diseases and gallbladder diseases.
Among the associations he is a member of are the Turkish Surgical Association, the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, the National Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery Association and the Bariatric Metabolic Surgery Association.
Prof. Ömer Yoldaş, who is married and father of two children, works as a faculty member in the Department of General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine.
