Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurcan UYSAL graduated from Istanbul University Florence Nightingale School of Nursing in 1990. After graduation, she worked as a clinical nurse in the Clinic of Chest Diseases at Istanbul University Çapa Medical Faculty Hospital for 4 years and in the Neonatal ICU at İnönü University Medical Faculty Hospital for 6 months. Between 1995-1999, she worked as the Director of Nursing Services at Inonu University Turgut Özal Medical Centre Hospital and at the same time she worked as a lecturer at Inonu University Health Services Vocational School. Between 1999-2002, while working as Assistant Chief Nurse and Training Nurse at İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, she completed her master's degree in the field of Management in Nursing at Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Health Sciences. Between 2002-2011, she worked as a lecturer and lecturer at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Nursing. She completed her doctorate in the field of Nursing Principles at Ege University Institute of Health Sciences in 2010. Dr Uysal, who worked as a faculty member in different universities between 2012-2023, was awarded the title of associate professor in 2018. Since July 2023, she started to work as a faculty member at Üsküdar University Department of Nursing.
