Prof. Nazife Güngör graduated from the School of Press and Broadcasting. She completed her master’s degree and Ph.D. in Ankara University, Social Sciences Institute. She started her academic career as a research assistant in Gazi University, Faculty of Communication, in 1991.
She was Turkish Academy of Sciences’ visiting scholar in England, Manchester University between 2000 and 2001 academic year. Between the years 2004-2008 she was a press and public relations consultant in Gazi University rectorship.
Between the years 2007-2010 she was head of the journalism department. She retired from Gazi University in September 2011 as a lecturer and started working as a full-time lecturer and dean in Istanbul Arel University.
Prof. Güngör continues her academic studies in Üsküdar University, Faculty of Communication. She is currently the Dean of Coomunication Faculty.
