Melike Boztilki completed her undergraduate studies at Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education and Yeditepe University Faculty of Communication. She completed her Master's degree at Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration, Social Policy and Social Work with a thesis entitled "The Role of Non-Governmental Organisations in Child Protection Practices and Current Approaches to Institutional Care in the World". She completed her doctoral studies at the Zaim University's Doctor of Social Work programme with a thesis entitled "The Effect of Social Assistance and Participation in Employment on Poverty: A study on Single Mother Families". Boztilki, who worked as a research assistant and doctoral lecturer at Üsküdar University Social Work Department between 2014-2023, has been a faculty member at Health Sciences University Hamidiye Faculty of Health Sciences Social Work Department since 2023.
