Mehmet Alp graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1985 and completed his specialization training in the same faculty, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. He worked at the VKV American Hospital Hand-Microsurgery Center between 1992-1994. In 2006, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor and in 2012 he was qualified as a specialist in Hand Surgery. He received the professor title in Üsküdar University, 2013 and is currently teaching at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
