Assist. Prof. Dr. Hale Yaylalı graduated from İstanbul University Communication Faculty, Radio Television Department in 1992. Then, she completed her master’s degree at İstanbul University Social Sciences Institute, Radio Television and Film Department. Yaylalı, who took doctor’s degree from Marmara University Social Sciences Institute, Radio-Television Department by her thesis about “The Use of Television as a Public Space and Democracy” in 2003, also took different tasks in national media.
She worked at Hurriyet Magazine Group and Doğan Burda in between 1996-2007; worked as a correspondent and editor at House, Art+Decor, Brava Casa magazines and as an editor in chief at Country Homes, Elele, Elle Décor magazines. Also she worked as a brand communication manager at Koleksiyon in between 2007-2008.
Hale Yaylalı who started to work as a lecturer at Arel University in 2007, became also the head of Visual Communication Design Department in 2009. She worked as a lecturer, vice-dean and head of Radio Television and Film Department at Yeni Yüzyil University in between 2010-2013. Yaylalı, who worked as a lecturer and the head of Public Relations and Advertisement Department at Gelişim University, is now working as a lecturer at Üsküdar University Communication Faculty, Radio Television and Film Department. Assist. Prof. Dr. Hale Yaylalı who has different papers which are presented in national and international symposiums, articles and magazine journals, is working on different academic issues like public space and media, news /news reporting and public service broadcasting.
