Short CV

Gökser Gökçay is a historian of international relations. He completed his bachelor degree at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Middle East Technical University. He graduated from the Department of International Relations at Ege University and completed his doctoral dissertation titled ‘Foreign Aid and Turkey from the End of the Second World War to the Johnson’s Letter” at the Ataturk Institute for Modern Turkish History in Dokuz Eylül University. He served as Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at Texas State University in the 2017/18 Academic Year and taught courses about Modern Turkey and Global Cold War. His main research interests are Turkey in the Cold War, Turkey–US Relations, History of International Development.
