Doğukan Mutlu was born in Istanbul in 1989. He completed his undergraduate education in 2012 at the Department of Biology, Pamukkale University. He received his master's degree in 2015 from the Department of Biology at Pamukkale University. During his master's studies, he participated in various projects funded by TÜBİTAK. He completed his PhD in 2022, which he began in 2018 at the Department of Biology at Pamukkale University. During his doctoral studies, he conducted research on the anticancer and antimicrobial activities of synthesized compounds, various active phytochemicals, and natural polysaccharides on human cancer cell lines and pathogenic microorganisms.
Doğukan Mutlu continues his research in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Üsküdar University. He has authored 29 articles indexed in SCI/SCI-E, 6 articles in journals indexed by ULAKBİM, 15 conference papers (both national and international), and one book chapter. His research interests focus on cancer biology and bioinformatics.
