Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan was born in Istanbul. After graduating from TED Ankara College, she graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of International Relations. She completed her master's and doctorate degrees at İstanbul University and graduated from the School of International Security at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland in 1995. She received the title of Associate Professor in 1998 and the title of Professor in 2003.
Arıboğan, who started her academic career at İstanbul University, continued her career at İstanbul Bilgi University and Bahçeşehir University and gave lectures at various universities. She also served as the Rector of Bahçeşehir University and a member of the Board of Trustees at İstanbul Bilgi University.
She is a senior fellow at Oxford University Conference on the Resolution of Intractable Conflict, director of Üsküdar University Political Psychology Application and Research, and a board member of the International Dialogue Initiative.
Arıboğan, who is a member of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, is one of the founding members of the Turkish Businesswomen's Association (TIKAD) and the Women in Technology Association (wtech).
Arıboğan has published numerous national and international articles and books on Turkish foreign policy, political psychology and global politics, and Arıboğan also has supervised graduate theses in these fields.
