After earning her BA degree from Başkent University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences; Bahar Muratoğlu Pehlivan completed her MA and PhD studies at Istanbul University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Journalism. She became an Associate Professor of Communication Studies in 2021. Her research fields are new media, media and gender, journalism and media studies.
