Oxford University and Üsküdar University are collaborating for world peace



Üsküdar University Political Psychology Center participated in various collaboration meetings at Oxford University between 1-3 October 2019. Negotiations were executed on the joint activities of the two institutions. Assoc. Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar and Asst. Prof. Hüseyin Ünübol, the coordinators of TURBAHAR Project (Addiction and Mental Health Risk Profile Map of Turkey) that has been completed under Üsküdar University Institute of Social Sciences, gave a presentation entitled “Turkey’s Map of Emotions and Political Reflections” upon project’ output. Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan explained the researches conducted by Üsküdar University Political Psychology Center within one year at the program in which Üsküdar University Founding President Prof. Nevzat Tarhan also attended.

Üsküdar University Founding President Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Advisor to the President and Director of Political Psychology Center Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, Institute of Social Sciences Director Assoc. Dr. Gökben Hızlı Sayar, Deputy Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and Head of the Department of Applied Psychology Asst. Prof. Hüseyin Ünübol were guests of Center for the Resolution of Intractable Conflict (CRIC) of Harris Manchester College, Oxford University and participated in the related meetings.

Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan talked about the researches and activities planned by Üsküdar University Political Psychology Center during the three-day conference on the “Doctrine of Non-Violent Resistance in the Age of Hybrid Wars”. Prof. Arıboğan’s presentation received great interest and invited the renowned international names to the 2nd Üsküdar University International Political Psychology Symposium which will be held on May 2020. Prof. Arıboğan She also shared information about the Psychopolitical Assurance Questionnaire which is currently being carried out at the center.



Turkey's Mental Health Map was introduced

Assoc. Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar and Asst. Prof. Hüseyin Ünübol, the coordinators of TURBAHAR Project (Addiction and Mental Health Risk Profile Map of Turkey) that has been completed under Üsküdar University Institute of Social Sciences, gave a presentation entitled “Turkey’s Map of Emotions and Political Reflections” upon project’ output within the scope of the symposium.

Turkey's dominant emotions of different geographical regions as well as examining the relationship between survey findings and the political preferences received great attention by the participants.



Collaboration meeting was held with Oxford University 

Üsküdar University Founding President Prof. Nevzat Tarhan and Director of Political Psychology Center Prof. Deniz Ülkü Arıboğan came together with Oxford University St. Benet’s Hall Director Prof. Richard Cooper at a collaboration meeting.
Prof. Cooper presented a plaque to Üsküdar University at the end of the cooperation meeting that concluded that the two institutions will carry out joint studies.
