Specialist Dr. Yelda TURGUT ÇELEN was born on October, 01 1976 in Izmir. After completing her high school education at Izmir Turkish Science High School, she graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine. After receiving her doctorate degree in 2000, she started her specialization education in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Chest Diseases. During her education, she went to Manchester University Medical School in England for chest diseases and intensive care training. There, she participated in many research projects, joining both the clinical and research team. After returning from England, she received her specialty in Chest Diseases from Cerrahpaşa medical faculty and started to work in Batman Public Hospital to complete her Obligatory State Service. Near the end of her term of service, she applied for a scholarship to the European Respiratory Society for the project called "Ricaddsa". After her application was accepted, she worked as a scholarship in the chest diseases, sleep and heart diseases clinic at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden for a year. During this time, she participated in many researches and published articles abroad. After returning to her homeland, she started to work at Memorial Hospital and has been serving in this institution for 12 years. Her special areas of interest are as follows: allergies, asthma, lung cancer and sleep.
