Şirin Güven was born in Bulgaria in 1965. She graduated from the Medical Faculty of Varna in 1989 and completed her specialization at Zeynep Kamil Women's and Children's Training and Research Hospital between 1993-1997. She received the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2020.
