Born in İzmir in 1988, Simge Alevsaçanlar graduated from İzmir Anatolian Teacher's School in 2006 and Ege University Psychology Department in 2011. She successfully completed her undergraduate study with her thesis on “Acceptance-Redness Perception and Anger in Individuals with Alcohol Dependent Parents”. In 2015, she finished her Clinic Psychology Master’s degree in Okan University on “Relationships Between Early Deprived Behavioral Schemas and Schema Sustainatory Beginnings Behavior in Substance Dependent Individuals: An Analysis on Schema Therapy Modeled Framework”.  

She received trainings on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Awareness Therapy. She also received trainings on Motivational Interview Techniques, Thematic Perception Test (TAT), Minnesota Multiplex Personality Inventory (MMPI) and SAMBA (Non-Alcohol Drug Addiction Treatment Program).

During her undergraduate studies, she worked as an intern at Ege University Hospital Psychiatry Service and at İzmir Social Services and Child Protection Agency. After her undergraduate studies, she worked as a psychologist at İzmir Active Performance Center.

During her master’s, she worked as an intern psychologist in application of neuropsychological tests in the Balikli Rum Hospital Addiction Clinic, Çapa Medical Faculty Neurology Department, Mental and Neurological Disorders Hospital. She was working on the data collection phase at the TÜBİTAK Project which was conducted for the purpose of developing the Web Version of Dependency Profile Index (BAPİSOFT) in Bakırköy Psychiatry and Neurological Disease Hospital AMATEM Clinic. She worked as a volunteer psychologist at sessions conducted within the scope of the Smoking Alcohol Substance Abuse Treatment Program (SAMBA) in the Erenköy Mental and Neurological Hospital AMATEM Clinic. She acted as a Project assistant of “Justice for Children Project” that has been led by the consultancy of Prof. Külteğin Öğel within the scope of the Individualized Improvement System program conducted by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy and UNICEF. She worked as a consultant psychologist during her visits to the penitentiary institution for the implementation of the same project.

2014 yılından itibaren NPiSTANBUL Hastanesi Bağımlılık Biriminde (AMATEM) alkol ve madde bağımlılığı başta olmak üzere eşlik eden çeşitli psikolojik rahatsızlıklar üzerinde çalışmaktadır.  

Since 2014, she has been working on various psychological disorders accompanying alcohol and substance dependence in NPiSTANBUL Hospital Dependency Unit (AMATEM).
