Seza Özge GÖNEN

Assist. Prof. Dr. Seza Özge GÖNEN graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. During her undergraduate education, she did a double major and received a Bachelor's Degree from the Department of Food Engineering, as well. Dr. Gönen completed her Master's and Ph.D. education at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University as a scholar of TÜBİTAK - BİDEB 2210 and 2211 scholarships. She has published four articles in SCI-indexed journals based on her Ph.D. thesis.

From 2015 to 2016, Dr. Gönen worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at Evyap. Subsequently, in 2017, she served as an R&D Specialist at Delta Cosmetics. Then, from 2017 to 2018, she worked as an R&D Engineer at Gulec Chemicals.

Following her career in R&D departments, Dr. Gönen started working at Istanbul Gedik University. From 2019 to 2020, she taught various courses (i.e., Materials Science, Elastomer Technology, Polymer Additives, Chemicals and Their Hazards) at the associate degree level at Gedik Vocational School and served as the Head of Polymer Technology Program. In addition, in the Spring Term of 2019, she taught the course "Occupational Health and Safety 2" to undergraduate students in the Industrial Engineering program at Yıldız Technical University.

From 2020 to 2023, Dr. Gönen worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Logistics Management at Yeditepe University. As of November 2023, she started working at Uskudar University in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Dr. Gönen holds Master's degrees in various fields such as Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Logistics Management, and Marketing Management. Her main areas of interest are multi-criteria decision-making, the production of nanocomposite fibers via electrospinning technique, material science, and sustainability.
