Born in Istanbul in 1995 and originally from Şavşat, Artvin, Sertaç Temur is one of the few academics in Turkiye who holds both undergraduate and doctoral degrees in Occupational Health and Safety. His doctoral dissertation focused on safety culture and social compliance audits. His research interests include occupational health and safety management systems, safety culture, risk assessment methods, social compliance audits, and safety performance in industrial sectors. Since 2023, he has held the Class A Occupational Safety Specialist certification. He has served as a principal investigator and researcher in TÜBİTAK-funded projects, presented papers at national and international congresses and symposia, and acted as a reviewer and editor for various academic journals.
Through the Erasmus+ program, he has engaged in academic collaborations in Germany, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Belgium during both his studies and professional career. In addition, he spent six months in the United States conducting postdoctoral research. He is currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of Occupational Health and Safety at Üsküdar University, Faculty of Health Sciences.
