Short CV

He finished his primary and middle school in Ankara. In 1971, he graduated from the DTCF Department of Philosophy. In 1977, he was appointed as an assistant to İstanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Systematic Philosophy. In 1978, he received the title of Doctor with the achievement of “An Essay on the Determination of Simplicity in Positive Science”. In 1982, he was assigned to İstanbul University as assistant professor in Faculty of Literature, Department of Systematic Philosophy. He became an associate professor in 1983 and professor in 1988. Between 2004-2009, he served as Vice Rector of Istanbul University. He is a founding member of the Department of Literature, founder and chairman of the Department of Logic, and is the Head of the Department of Philosophy.
