Pınar ŞEN graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Chemistry in 1999. In her undergraduate graduation project, she investigated dyestuffs used in textile industry. In 2005, ŞEN completed her Master's degree at Marmara University, Department of Chemistry - Organic Chemistry with the thesis topic “Synthesis and Characterization of New Types of Phthalocyanines” and in 2017, she completed her PhD degree at Sakarya University, Department of Chemistry - Inorganic Chemistry with her thesis on “Bleaching Catalysts” and received the title of Doctor. During his doctoral studies, he took part as a researcher in the SANTEZ project between Hayat Holding and Sakarya University and was a visiting researcher at École normale supérieure de Lyon University in France for various periods. Between 2018-2021, he conducted his postdoctoral studies on drug design for anticancer and antimicrobial therapy at Rhodes University in South Africa. She has an international patent application with her work here. He has numerous papers presented at national/international scientific meetings, refereed congress/symposium proceedings and published in refereed journals. Currently, she is a faculty member at Üsküdar University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Chemical-Biological Engineering. Assoc. Prof. Pınar ŞEN's main research interests are synthesis of functional organic-inorganic molecules, catalysis, nanoparticles, quantum dots, photodynamic therapy.
