Öznur KARAKAŞ KIRMIZISAKAL

Öznur KARAKAŞ KIRMIZISAKAL received her bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies from Boğaziçi University. She completed her master's degree in Philosophy through the Europilosophie Program, jointly offered by Galatasaray University, Université de Toulouse, and Charles University in Prague. She earned her Ph.D. in Information and Knowledge Society from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Following her doctorate, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Centre for Gender Research at Uppsala University in Sweden and at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the field of interdisciplinary cultural studies. 

Her research focuses on digital culture, science and technology studies, gender studies, AI ethics, technology policy, posthumanism, and new materialism. Asst. Prof. Kırmızısakal has published articles in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, contributed book chapters, and produced scholarly translations. She has also participated as a researcher in European Union-funded research projects. She is currently a faculty member at the Faculty of Communication, Üsküdar University.
