She was born in Istanbul in 1990. She graduated from Nevzat Ayaz Anatolian High School in 2008 and from the Department of Biology at Gazi University in 2014, where she completed a graduation project entitled “Environmental Factors Involved in Cancer Development.” In 2019, she received her master’s degree from the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa with a thesis entitled “Determination of Zolpidem by GC/MS and Its Significance in Forensic Sciences.” She subsequently earned her doctoral degree from the Institute of Addiction and Forensic Sciences at Üsküdar University with a dissertation entitled “Forensic Genetic Identification of Ephedra major (Hum) and Its Extracts.”
Sandıkçı has presented her research in forensic sciences at national and international scientific conferences. She holds a Pedagogical Formation Certificate from Marmara University and completed an internship at a forensic laboratory affiliated with the Istanbul Police Department. During her employment as an Assistant Specialist in the Research and Development Laboratory of World Medicine Pharmaceutical Company, she gained professional experience, particularly in instrumental analytical methods and method validation.
She also holds a Laboratory Animal Use Certificate and continues to conduct academic research in forensic biology and genetics, forensic botany, forensic toxicology, analytical chemistry, and the forensic examination of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
She joined the Department of Forensic Sciences at Üsküdar University in 2020 as the Forensic Sciences Laboratory Supervisor and has been serving as a Research Assistant in the same department since 2022.
