Nazmiye KOPACAK, M. Sc.

Research Assistant Dr. Nazmiye KOPACAK was born in Istanbul in 1988. She received her B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul, in 2011, and her M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Selçuk University, Konya, in 2016. She completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 2024.
Research Assistant Dr. Nazmiye KOPACAK began her professional career in 2011 as a Maintenance Engineer at a plastics manufacturing company in Turkey. Between 2011 and 2013, she actively contributed to the planning of preventive maintenance activities and implemented improvements to enhance the efficiency of electrical systems, particularly focusing on lighting systems.
From 2013 to 2018, Research Assistant Dr. Nazmiye KOPACAK worked as a Distribution Systems Planning Engineer at one of Turkey's leading electrical distribution companies. In this role, she had a key responsibility in preparing the company’s annual investment programs. She also worked as an executive member for the Master Plan project and played a crucial role in reviewing regional demand forecast reports. Additionally, Research Assistant Dr. Nazmiye KOPACAK developed and conducted online training on the use of the PSS SINCAL power system analysis software. She also undertook significant responsibilities in the installation, maintenance, operation, and acceptance processes of electrical distribution infrastructure across diverse terrains and climatic conditions in various regions.
In 2018, Research Assistant Dr. Nazmiye KOPACAK was awarded the "100/2000 PhD Scholarship" by the Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) on "Hydrogen and Fuel Cells" and began her Ph.D. studies at Yıldız Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering. During the 2019-2020 academic year, she spent 10 months as a visiting student at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, funded by the Turkish National Agency.
Since 2021, Research Assistant Dr. Nazmiye KOPACAK has been working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Üsküdar University.
