Mustafa ATAŞ graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. Having completed his specialty education at Fırat University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology in 1998, ATAŞ received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Ophthalmology in 2016.
