Melek Gözde LUŞ completed Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1999. She completed her medical specialty education in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in İstanbul University Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) and then she became a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in 2008. She completed her obligatory governmental service in Erzurum District Education and Research Hospital between 2008-2010. She wrote her specialty thesis on “Bipolar Disorder Comorbidity for children diagnosed with Attention Deficiency and Hyperactivity Disorder”. She has many articles on national and international journals on the topics of Attention Deficiency and Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism and addiction of the Internet. She received several education programs such as, Basic Education on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Children and Adolescents and Supervision Education, Game Therapy based on Children education, Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy education, Play and Art Psychotherapy Techniques based on Filial Therapy and Schema Therapy International Certification Education. Her professional areas of interest are as follows: Attention Deficiency and Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and similar neurodevelopmental disorders, various developmental delays, anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder. She is a member of many associations such as Turkish Medical Association, The Psychiatric Association of Turkey (PAT), Çocuk ve Gençlik Ruh Sağlığı Derneği (Turkish Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) and American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She participated in the process of diagnosis and treatment within the scope of early diagnosis education plan in Autism by family physicians which was initiated by the Ministry of Health within the framework of Türkiye Autism Action Plan.
